Ok so this is going to be interesting. I don't actually do a lot of writing. I'm more of a talker. Not that I wouldn't like to write more often. I love to travel, watch reality tv, see amazing movies for the first time, and stay up late (or go to bed early). I never follow a schedule, I think I have a regime phobia.

I'm not very school smart. But I am. Know what I mean? Haha me neither. I liked school, but didn't love it. I'm a horrible speller and math is hard for me but I appreciate everything about learning. And all the work our AP teachers did to get us ready for those exams but honesty I don't care if you got straight A's. I like to have intellectual coversation but going to college and knowing about Ancient Roman History are not important to me. I guess I'm more of a creative smart. I always have good ideas and am inventing cool things and thinking I wish I knew how to make this idea a reality. I am interested in fashion. But not in a typical sense. I like creating new, interesting outfits and digging through stuff at TJMaxx to ensure my shirts are unique. I am constantly searching for cool new rings and anything else that catches my eye in a store; Belts, hats etc.

I'm looking for a guy who knows when they meet me that things are going to get interesting. Must be inspired or at least be able to inspire. Enjoys the luxury of food, will buy me flowers every once in a while. Can't a girl get even a smidge (sp?) of romance these days? Like most guys in my position, I never planned on being a full charge single parent. I've been raising my twin daughters on my own for many years and their welfare has been my total focus. My primary goal has been to successfully get them through high school, prepare them for college and the rest of their life. They've done exceptionally well in school. They had weighted GPA's of 4.4 and 4.5 in high school and they accomplished that in a highly competitive school. We've gone through their university choices and one is attending UCLA as an economic major and the other is in an environmental geology major at UC Santa Cruz. I've got great children and they've been no trouble to raise. I've been pretty busy with their first couple of years helping them get settled into college life.

With my goal of getting them through high school accomplished and established in college, I'm ready to start looking for a life partner. I have many interests and have typically spent my weekends exploring California with my daughters. We enjoy camping, hiking, day trips around Southern California, cross country skiing, photography, museums, festivals of all kinds, dining out for various ethnic cuisines, and gourmet cooking. I moved to Los Angeles about three years ago. I was in France for 11 years and Algeria before that. I can debate about science, History and politics or just listen to passionate people talk about it. I like outdoor activities, movies and dancing in clubs. If you want to know more, just ask.

I'm invested in environmental sustainability and contribute through my career and my lifestyle. I commute to work by bicycle when I can, I like to shop organic and always use my own shopping bags. I recycle, compost, and am working towards making my home LEED certified.

I like to exercise by riding my bike on weekends or going hiking and rock climbing with friends. I also like to cook healthy and tasty meals and experiment with new ingredients from at local markets. I am a bit of a foodie but just to the extent that I like to try new restaurants where sometimes the food is whatever the chef felt like cooking that day. My favorite TV show is Good Eats on the food network since I like both science and cooking. I have been taking salsa lessons and it's a lot of fun. I prefer dancing that has form, where there is a lead and a follow much more than free-form, contortionistic interpretative dance. ;)

I was born and raised in Southern California, but spent 6 years going to school and working on the East Coast. I have a wide perpective on life (and stuff) although perhaps sometimes I need to think less about the big picture and more about what's in front of my nose. Love travel, went on a brilliant roadtrip to Portland this year, and also popped over to China, which was a bit further. Just started yoga, no idea how that will work out.

I suppose I can be a bit of a trouble maker. I'm not much of a materialist, but I do love the good things in life. Quality not quantity or something like that. Love hiking, camping sometimes too. I value integrity and love to talk about life, the universe and everything. I'm allergic to people who abuse power. I speak French and okay Italian.

I lived in Brussels for years, quit a boring Government job, and moved to the States to pursue writing.

For all intents and purposes, I'm a hipster. I watch movies by Wes Anderson, I listen to bands that most people haven't heard of, and the lines between ironic enjoyment and the actual fun has become blurred ("the World Series of Air Guitar? What could be funner than that!"). The one thing that hasn't translated is in my clothing style, since I don't keep the Jaws of Life handy around the house to get out of my pants. According to one of my friends this makes me "the hippest hipster of them all", but I'm not entirely sure if she meant this or if it's like when my Mom told me I was cool in 7th grade.

Since I can't pay the bills by acting like I'm already over everything I'm an engineer in the aerospace industry. I like to think that I can at least groom myself and talk about something besides the merits of PHP versus ASP, but, I'm really, really good at Rock Band, so I'm right back to reinforcing stereotypes.

In general, I like to stay active and head out on adventures. I run a decent amount, play golf, and am a whiffle ball All Star. Staying in and watching a movie is fun once in a while, but I'd much rather go check out the grilled cheese festival or something similar. If I come into work on Monday and don't have any good stories to tell, I feel like I failed the weekend.

I would describe myself as a laid back person who is independent, ambitious, hardworking, and always smiling. I have an open minded and grounded personality but also like the finer things in life.

Topping off a list of my interests would be traveling, collecting art prints, trying new foods, keeping fit (running, hiking, etc.), and exploring the city. I like to keep busy but I, also, don't mind relaxing at home just being in the moment.

I am a fun-loving, outgoing, and attractive individual who loves Caucasian men I am in no way prejudice, but this is just my preference (so in other words I am very picky) sorry guys. I love meeting new people and learning new things from them weather it's how to cook a certain dish, or something as simple as a dance move, or maybe just their way of culture. I love nice quiet walks on the beaches, nature walks, traveling, dancing, working out, wine tasting, horseback riding, motor cycles, camping, movies or just plain ol' movie night at home, relaxing by the fire place, swimming, skating, and last but not least you and me time is a plus always*
