“Pacific teachers inspire the children to love learning! A love of learning is key to a more fulfilled life in the long term because it is that desire for exploration and awe upon discovery that enriches us as humans (not to mention it helps in getting good grades for college admissions). “Pacifc is the best school ever. We have great teachers who care, a principal who is a 'pal' and great kids that love to learn. “Pacific Elementary School is such a warm and welcoming place... Our daughter was new to this school last year - and had previously only attended Catholic Schools...so she was very hesitant to be a new student at a public school. Pacific School teachers, students and staff were so enthusiastic to welcome her and make her feel that she belonged...which is what everyone wishes for at a new school. The school is striving to include all of the programs that the California State Budget cuts had to drop...therefore the PTA has been working around the clock on fundraising and innovative ideas on how to continue to offer music or PE instructors. Our family is so happy to be a part of the Pacific Elementary School - our youngest just started and she too, is having such an amazing experience. I really can't say enough about the school, staff and students!”

“Pacific Elementary has wonderful teachers. Each morning the teachers sing a song with the class. They also have multiple fun plays that each class performs. This provides a great outlet for the kids and really brings the students together as a class.”

“Pacific School is yellow like the sun. Like the sun, the school and its teachers feed and nourish the children to grow into the best young adults they can be. The teachers teach the kids not just facts and figures but how to learn, how to process and how to make connections. The school prepares children accademically and socially for the challenges and opportunities they will face after they leave. The extraordinary teachers are the fabric of the school and the fact that they all love working there and keep coming back tells you everything. I would not send my kids anywhere else.”

“Pacific School really cares about what's best for the students! The school has some of the most engaging, enthusiastic, intelligent teachers any parent would want to mentor their child. And the parents are willing to donate their time(if possible) to fill in spots taken away from the school because of recent budget cuts. This kind of envolement from all, creates a whole school full of potential leaders, as well as selfsufficient human beings!”

“We love Pacific School because everyone goes out of their way to make it the best, from the teachers and staff to the parents and students. We have wonderful teachers and staff that do everything they can to motivate the students to learn. For example, our teachers dress up on certain days to make learning fun and memorable. They even teach longer than required to make sure that all of the students get the individual attention they need. The parents spend countless hours volunteering to help make the school run smoothly. From helping out in science lab and helping children out of cars in the morning to raising money to buy school supplies and computers, the parents of pacific are all dedicated to one goal, making sure that our students succeed. The students know this and have risen to meet our expectations. A school can't succeed unless all people involved make an effort and Pacific has figured that out. It is so refreshing to belong to a place where everyone cares. That's why we love Pacific.”

“Pacific school has such great parent involvement, dedicated teachers, enthusiastic and over the top teaching styles, and a loving nurturing environment. Most importantly the school emphasizes healthy living thru nutritional programs and character building through student mentorship (higher grades mentor the lower grades). “The teachers and parents care about raising good citizens as well as educated students. The teachers and kids work very hard but the results show. Many families that move to other parts of the state or country find their kids are over-prepared. “One of my sons is currently in the special education preschool program at Pacific Ave. Elementary. His teacher Ms. T Miranda is phenomenal. She goes way beyond the call of duty to meet all of his needs and our concerns. The entire team the teacher, teacher assistants, O.T. specialist, speech therapist, and psycologist are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, helpful and creative in finding solutions and methods that work for each individual child. The program is absolutely wonderful. We are extremely pleased and satisfied with our son's education.”

“My daughter was a Kindergartner and the program was awesome. It's incredible what 3 hours and 20 minutes did for each child. The Young at Art Program was superb. The teacher was very experienced and made each child feel so important. The children were very close with each other along with the parents. The learning and motivation was very high. The parent participation was high. The teacher even came to all the parents gatherings and events. The communication level was excellent all around. The principal was very prominent and active in participating in the students activities. Her involvement was a true testiment to the success of Pacific for the past 21 years. She will be leaving and the next principal have some huge shoes to fill. But the school will do well because the bones are strong.”

“Pacific is the BEST place to be. The teachers are exceptional and go far beyond the call of duty. Contrary to others' beliefs, I feel that my child was never groomed for test-taking...I believe that the goal of Pacific is to create life-long lovers of learning and a well-rounded child. There are life-quotes throughout the campus which focus on being the best person you can be. I value the PE program, the computer and science specialist, and the spirited out-of-school family events. The students have numerous opportunities to enhance public speaking abilities with classroom plays, presentations, and debates. What more can I say? We love it!!!!”

“The teachers are wonderful at Pacific and the children's test scores have ranked this school district at the 5th best in the state. Because of severe budget cuts over the past two years, music has been almost completely cut out. The school offers an art program (Young At Art)for the children but the art projects take place only 6 or 8 times during the school year. One of the greatest attributes of Pacific School is the Science Specialist, Mrs. Grace who teaches the children about marine biology, earth science and more (Science Lab is 1x weekly) with a highly energized teaching style that leaves the kids wanting to learn more. The children also attend a weekly computer lab and learn Word, Powerpoint and other applications. The school s downside is the math program...Saxon Math. It is a heavily redundant, unimaginative program that has turned my child completely off of math.”
