I am so excited to return to my little corner of Los Angeles County because I love writing about the South Bay where I grew up and lived most of my life before I was out and about all the time and had the opportunity to travel and over time to return. Today I will try to offer you some family-friendly things to do in Redondo Beach. I could give you a list of all my favorite things I did in the South Bay, but today I will give you it. On a hot and dry day inLos Angeles, the beach area has an amazingly cool and clean air and is a great place to live, work, play or just hang out.

Just minutes from the sandy tide, there is always the possibility to have fun on the shore with sand dunes, waves, sandcastles and other fun activities.

Where Beryl Street meets PCH on Redondo Beach's King Harbor, you can enter a large saltwater lagoon where you can swim and use the volleyball court and children's playground. With trained lifeguards, the lagoons are free of unpredictable waves and currents and offer a variety of dining options that can be purchased at the neighboring Ruby's Diner. As an added treat, a few California sea lions call the house, so you might be lucky enough to paddle past a few sunbathing buoys. Tucked away on the south side of King Street, just a short walk from the P CH to the beach, is a great family play area, the Seaside Lagoon.

If you have a family in tow, you can spend an afternoon on a paddle board, rent a kayak or pedal boat or swim in the water.

There is a fee to park at the lagoon, but outside the beach you can park for free in the surrounding neighborhoods. Also known as Avenue A, there is a parking lot that goes all the way from Vista del Mar I to just before Avenue I. Most public parking on this beach is in a small parking lot at the southern end of Redondo Beach that starts at Avenue A. Go swimming : If you are facing west and the waves of the Pacific Ocean crash against the pier below, this is the perfect place for a romantic sunset dinner. You can swim in the sea or go swimming with friends and family on one of the many sandy beaches on the beach.
